Zofia Polańska


Zofia is a social researcher and evaluator. She holds a degree in sociology from Jagiellonian University. She has many years of experience in conducting evaluations of operational programs and projects financed by structural funds. She also carries out research for the public sector, in the areas of health, social services and social problems. She also has to her credit cooperation with Climate-KIC (it’s an agenda of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology), where she researched the issue of attitudes towards smog and energy poverty in Rybnik. She likes her work for its lack of boredom and intellectual challenge. She believes that each research project is a separate puzzle about a certain piece of social reality, and she greatly appreciates the opportunity to unravel them. She takes it as a point of honor that her analyses, should be clear, both in terms of language and the way of inference. Interests: social policy (including health policy), social innovation, energy poverty and combating climate change
